Playoffs da NHL: Os demônios estão com problemas; Início perfeito para folhas

The 2025 Stanley Cup playoffs continued on Sunday. Here are some takeaways from the day’s action.
The New Jersey Devils are in trouble
Every year, there’s always one team that enters the playoffs with nothing but stale vibes. A team that everyone knows is out of water and probably waiting for the seasons to end.
This season, that team is the New Jersey Devils.
Not only because they’re struggling down the stretch, but also because they’re also without their best player in forward Jack Hughes because of a season-ending injury. There’s no change-up ability like him, and while the Devils have a solid team with good depth, there’s no other game-crusher who can take over on any given night.
On Sunday, they matched the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday with 4-1 losses, either failing to handle the FreeCheck or failing to break down their defenses.
If the Devils are going to have a chance in this series, they’re either going to need goalie Jacob Markstrom to play a few games, or something about the Devils’ overall game is going to have to change significantly from what we’ve seen in recent weeks.
Logan Stanoven makes a great first playoff impression for the Hurricanes
One of the most fascinating developments to watch this season will be how Carolina’s Logan Stanoven performs compared to Dallas’ Mikko Rantanenen.
The Hurricanes acquired Rantanen’i, a star who set pre-Death’s box office records, as part of the Stanovent trade. It was a shocking trade, because Carolina acquired Rantanen a few weeks ago in hopes of helping them take Rantanen to a Stanley Cup Final. However, when it became clear they were unable to re-sign him, they chose to negotiate in free agency rather than risk losing him for anything.
From a big perspective, the first two rounds of the futures selection were a strong curve and a potential long-term winner. This season alone cannot come close to a championship.
However, Rantanen’s line was poorly locked in Dallas’ first playoff game and struggling to make the impact expected since the trade, and stalled in Carolina’s playoff exit with a pair of goals.
